Interactive EPUB Integrity & Layout Linter
The Problem
Independent publishers assembling detailed fiction maps or learning textbooks craft digital book containers that display beautifully inside modern rendering environments, but crash completely on legacy e-ink reading devices. This occurs due to unmapped document styles, unclosed markup tags, or nested layouts that older screen layout modules cannot process safely.
The Solution
This system introduces an interactive desktop layout combined with an automated terminal utility. It handles asset analysis, extracts embedded configurations, validates element tags against older hardware configurations, and automatically normalizes non-conforming parameters down to generic fallback models.
Core Components
- Inspection Engine: Deep-scans zip archives without requiring external package dependencies.
- Compatibility Parser: Audits problematic CSS declarations.
- Auto-Patching Engine: Safe code rewriter designed to flatten style structures while keeping data footprints intact.
