Overview
Aegis-Industrial is a standalone, air-gapped security “Sidecar” designed to protect legacy industrial assets (CNC machines, PLCs, Robotic Arms) that cannot run modern security software. It acts as a transparent, hardware-locked gateway that monitors physical link integrity and filters industrial protocols in real-time.

Core Features
– HMI Dashboard: A high-contrast, local Web-UI for shop-floor managers. Provides “Green/Red” status visibility and a Maintenance Mode toggle without requiring CLI knowledge.
– SecureHunter (DPI + Anti-Replay): Deep Packet Inspection for Modbus, S7Comm, and EtherNet/IP. Includes a temporal buffer to prevent command-replay attacks.
– PortSentinel (MAC-Locking): Physically locks the gateway to the legacy asset’s MAC address. Includes a 30-minute “Learning Mode” for authorized hardware maintenance.
– Hardened Ledger: Circular RAM-buffered logging to prevent NAND/Flash memory burnout in 24/7 environments.
– Dead-Drop Updates: Secure, air-gapped updates via signed USB bundles. Uses hardware-attested signatures to prevent unauthorized side-loading.
– SCADA Auditor: Safety-first vulnerability scanner designed to map OT environments without tripping legacy equipment buffers.

Hardware Requirements
– Industrial PC/NUC: Dual-NIC configuration required.
– Storage: Industrial-grade pSLC SD/SSD recommended to handle log persistence.
– RTC: Battery-backed Real-Time Clock (DS3231 or equivalent) required for forensic log integrity.

Deployment
1. Run `./build_standalone.sh` to generate native C++ binaries.
2. Deploy binaries to the `/app/bin/` directory on the target gateway.
3. Configure `config/global.json` with the authorized machine MAC.
